I am a Healthfirst Medicaid member writing to report a serious loss of access to care. Effective May 15, 2026, Healthfirst has failed to maintain its contract with Catholic Health Services, resulting in the loss of my dermatologist at Belaray Dermatology as well as over 3,000 providers and 6 hospitals across Long Island.
I am requesting that the Department investigate this disruption in access and take appropriate action to protect Medicaid members.
